I’m the youngest of three girls and was raised in a family with two parents who worked in the railways – so I understand the importance of accessible transport and infrastructure for our growing community.
I am passionate about education. I studied Science at Melbourne University and majored in Neuroscience – because I wanted to better understand people and how they make decisions. That’s why I’m so proud that the Albanese Labor Government’s investment into Medicare, boosting bulk billing so that 72% of the clinics in our community you’re able to see a GP for free.
I know that every child deserves a high quality and accessible education, from the very earliest years and beyond.
I believe lifelong learning and our higher education and skills sectors are critical to make sure our communities and our economy thrives. The government I am part of is investing in education, making childcare cheaper, reforming our universities to make them stronger, and delivering fee-free TAFE.
My husband Chris is a local electrical apprentice, who made a career change later in life thanks to Labor’s free TAFE.
I am really ambitious for our community and for our country and am so privileged to be able to fight for better infrastructure, education, jobs, infrastructure, and a strong economy in Canberra.
